The City of Pearland hosts the annual “Celebration of Freedom” event at the Pearland High School stadium, located at 3775 South Main Street. This free community event features a “Kid Zone” play area, live music from the Drywater Band, and a 20-minute fireworks display.

The VFW Post 7109 will perform a salute to our nation’s military, and a rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner. The event is free, and it is open to the public. To attend, bring your family and friends. Bringing a pet or alcohol is not allowed. There will also be free parking at the Pearland Junior High South, located at 4919 Bailey Road.

The Pearland High School will be closed on the day of the celebration. If you need to park, a free shuttle will be available. It is a good idea to plan ahead to allow yourself enough time to attend this event.

As an added bonus, there are free activities for the entire family, including a drive-in firework show. This event is held in the parking lot of the Fiesta Mall, located at 1425 W. Southern Ave. It is a traditional event, with live music and patriotic songs.
