"our stories"

Based on photographs by Hanne Johnsen and Glenn Busch’s book, The Man With No Arms & Other Stories, this exhibition uses photographs, words and film to tell the stories of people with disabilities.

"our stories" includes workshops for schools and an information evening for employers and service, sport and recreation groups.

Sculpture_in_Wallace_Art_Awards

17th Annual Wallace Art Awards

Established in 1991, the Wallace Art Awards are New Zealand’s longest surviving and richest annual art awards, valued at more than $81,000.

The awards showcase the work of contemporary artists throughout the country working in a variety of mediums. Each year, a selected group of winners’ works are displayed at TheNewDowse.

The seven winners of the awards will be selected by art-critic Linda Tyler, artist Dick Frizzell and the 2007 winner of the 16th Annual Wallace Art Award, James Robinson.
